Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport packages and goods to designated residential and commercial locations across Memphis and the surrounding region.
- Interact professionally and courteously with customers to ensure a positive delivery experience and handle any issues or questions with diplomacy.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is in safe operating condition and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Verify delivery accuracy, obtain electronic or digital signatures, and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed and filed correctly.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior, including the cargo area, at all times.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and DOT regulations while on the road.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License (Class B with Hazmat endorsement preferred, but Class A/B considered based on vehicle).
- Clean driving record with no major traffic violations within the last 3 years.
- Must be at least 21 years of age to operate a commercial vehicle.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50-100 lbs repeatedly throughout the day.
- Basic computer literacy for using handheld delivery devices and GPS navigation systems.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
