Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver packages, food, or merchandise to Durham-area residences and businesses
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures as required
- Optimize routes using GPS technology to maximize delivery efficiency
- Provide exceptional customer service with professional communication and problem-solving
- Inspect and maintain delivery vehicle cleanliness and basic operational standards
- Collaborate with dispatch team to resolve delivery challenges proactively
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety protocols at all times
Qualifications
- Valid North Carolina driver's license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year professional driving experience or equivalent commercial driving background
- Strong knowledge of Durham, NC streets and surrounding areas
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and operate in various weather conditions
- Smartphone proficiency for navigation and delivery tracking apps
- Reliable personal vehicle with valid insurance (or willingness to use company vehicle)
- Excellent time management and customer service skills
- Background check and drug screening required
