Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport packages and goods throughout New York City
- Efficiently navigate high-traffic urban areas using GPS and route optimization tools
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures upon package receipt
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance
- Provide excellent customer service while resolving delivery-related inquiries
- Collaborate with dispatch team to optimize delivery routes and timelines
- Handle packages with care to prevent damage or loss during transit
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety protocols at all times
Qualifications
- Valid Class D driver's license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year of professional delivery or commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 pounds regularly
- Proficiency with smartphone navigation apps and basic technology
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including early mornings and weekends
- Pass background check and drug screening (company policy)
