Responsibilities
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers in a safe, courteous, and professional manner.
- Deliver freight to customers in a timely manner while maintaining high levels of customer service.
- Complete all necessary paperwork, including delivery receipts and electronic logging devices (ELD) logs, accurately and on time.
- Secure cargo properly and adhere to all weight and balance regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized cab and cargo area.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding traffic conditions and delivery updates.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL A) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and cargo handling procedures.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Proficiency in using handheld electronic devices for logging and reporting.
- Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of San Francisco, CA.
