Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (dry van, refrigerated, flatbed) for local/regional routes
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and safety protocols at all times
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation using electronic logging systems
- Inspect vehicles before/during trips to ensure mechanical safety and compliance
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route planning and delivery timelines
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading operations
- Report maintenance issues and participate in preventative maintenance schedules
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Phoenix metro area and Southwest shipping corridors
- Basic understanding of cargo securement and weight distribution
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility for irregular hours and occasional overnight trips
- High school diploma or equivalent required
