Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL required) to deliver freight on time
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle documentation
- Adhere to DOT regulations, HOS compliance, and safety protocols
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation systems to maximize delivery schedules
- Coordinate with logistics team for loading/unloading procedures
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delays or route changes
- Maintain clean driving record and report maintenance issues promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Familiarity with Georgia highway systems and Southeast region
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and operate loading equipment
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Basic computer literacy for electronic logging devices
