Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Safely load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment (forklift, pallet jack, etc.).
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and delivery paperwork (BOLs, PODs).
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delays or issues.
- Keep the vehicle clean and organized at all times.
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance checks (tires, lights, fluid levels).
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A or B) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a DOT drug screen and background check.
- Basic knowledge of trucking regulations and safety standards.
- Physically fit to perform manual loading tasks and sit for extended periods.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Willingness to work varying shifts, including weekends or holidays as needed.
