Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to residential and commercial locations on time.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and DOT regulations while navigating delivery routes.
- Interact professionally and courteously with customers, handling cash or card payments accurately and efficiently.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition and report any maintenance issues.
- Load and unload cargo carefully, ensuring items are secure and undamaged during transit.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, receipts, and paperwork in compliance with local and federal regulations.
- Keep the vehicle clean and organized, including the cab and cargo area.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is preferred; a regular driver's license may be considered for local delivery.
- Must possess a clean driving record with no major violations (DUI, reckless driving) in the past 3 years.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Basic knowledge of GPS navigation systems, map reading, and route planning.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and eligible to work in the United States.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
