We are currently seeking experienced and motivated Class A CDL Drivers to join our growing fleet in Virginia. Responsibilities
- Operate Commercial Vehicles: Safely and efficiently drive heavy-duty trucks to deliver freight to designated locations on schedule.
- Pre-Trip & Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of the vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes, and cargo securement, before and after each shift.
- Load & Unload Cargo: Assist with the loading and unloading of freight, ensuring cargo integrity and proper weight distribution.
- Route Planning: Utilize GPS systems and route maps to determine the most efficient delivery paths, avoiding traffic and adhering to legal driving hours.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of logs, delivery receipts, and incident reports as required by DOT regulations.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL: Must possess a current, valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with proper endorsements.
- Driving Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of professional driving experience preferred.
- Clean MVR: Must have a clean driving record with no major violations or DUIs within the past 3-5 years.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and meet the physical requirements of the job.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with dispatch and clients.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
