Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B) following DOT regulations and company protocols
- Transport freight to designated locations adhering to strict delivery timelines
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance checks
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation using digital tracking systems
- Collaborate with logistics team for route optimization and emergency rerouting
- Ensure proper loading/unloading of cargo with specialized equipment handling
- Uphold company safety standards and represent Mountain Express professionally
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer or heavy equipment experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening (pre-employment and random)
- Familiarity with HAZMAT placarding and securement regulations preferred
- Strong knowledge of Colorado terrain and mountain driving techniques
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation
- Exceptional time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
