Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles in a safe, legal, and professional manner at all times.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle readiness and compliance.
- Secure cargo using proper tie-down techniques to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere to Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service while loading, unloading, and communicating with dispatch.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report mechanical issues immediately.
- Adhere strictly to all DOT, FMCSA, and company safety policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) meeting DOT requirements.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and pre-employment drug screen.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to travel regionally or over the road based on business needs.
- Familiarity with cargo securement and DOT regulations is a plus.
