Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections
- Manage student behavior per safety protocols
- Maintain accurate route and attendance records
- Communicate effectively with parents and school staff
- Respond to emergency situations calmly
- Adhere to all federal/state transportation regulations
Qualifications
- Valid NC Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Satisfactory background/driving record
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- School bus endorsement or willingness to obtain
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and climb bus steps
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience and compassion for students
