Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes in Orlando
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Ensure student safety through proper boarding and seating protocols
- Maintain accurate attendance and route documentation
- Communicate professionally with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Follow all federal, state, and local transportation regulations
- Respond appropriately to emergency situations
Qualifications
- Valid Florida Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with S/P endorsement
- Minimum 1 year driving experience
- Clean MVR (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Reliable transportation to depot location
