Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and field trips on designated routes
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain vehicle maintenance logs
- Enforce behavioral policies and ensure student safety during transit
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and transportation supervisors
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and district safety protocols
- Manage emergency procedures and student medical situations
- Complete required documentation and incident reports
Qualifications
- Valid Oregon CDL with School Bus endorsement (Class B)
- Minimum 3 years driving experience with clean MVR
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Background check clearance for working with minors
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong conflict resolution and communication skills
- Availability for early morning/afternoon shifts
