Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for long-haul routes across the continental US
- Adhere to DOT regulations, HOS compliance, and company safety protocols
- Load/unload freight with proper securement techniques
- Maintain accurate trip documentation including logs, bills of lading, and inspection reports
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse personnel
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance checks
- Optimize route efficiency while prioritizing on-time delivery
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year verifiable OTR experience or equivalent training
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation
- Strong commitment to safety and customer service excellence
- Flexibility for irregular schedules and overnight travel
- Basic mechanical knowledge for roadside troubleshooting
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
