Responsibilities
- Operate commercial freight trucks for long-haul deliveries across designated routes
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance documentation
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, HOS guidelines, and safety protocols
- Manage electronic logging systems (ELD) and route optimization software
- Coordinate with dispatch teams for efficient loading/unloading procedures
- Maintain accurate delivery records and customer communication logs
- Implement defensive driving techniques in all weather conditions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices and route planning tools
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong navigation skills and route knowledge across Texas region
- Flexibility for overnight trips and variable schedules
- Excellent time management and communication abilities
