Responsibilities
- Operate heavy dump trucks safely and efficiently to transport materials (sand, gravel, rock) to and from job sites.
- Load and unload trucks using skid steers, loaders, and manual labor as required.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is in proper working condition.
- Maintain accurate daily logs and electronic logging device (ELD) records in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, project managers, and site supervisors.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (no major violations in the last 3 years).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience operating heavy dump trucks.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong mechanical aptitude to perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and varying terrains.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
