Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks to transport construction materials, gravel, asphalt, and debris
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each haul
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Load/unload materials efficiently at job sites and disposal facilities
- Perform minor preventative maintenance on vehicles (e.g., fluid checks, tire inspections)
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record with no DUIs in past 5 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting common vehicle issues
- Strong work ethic and punctuality
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Previous experience with dump trucks preferred
