Responsibilities
- Safely operate company tractor-trailers on dedicated OTR routes with minimal layovers
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Perform pre-trip inspections and basic preventative maintenance checks
- Deliver freight on schedule while maintaining accurate delivery documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team regarding route conditions and ETA updates
- Maintain clean driving record and comply with all FMCSA requirements
- Utilize electronic logging systems for compliance and route optimization
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with minimum 2 years OTR experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures
- Proven ability to manage long-haul routes independently
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills for on-road repairs
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Flexibility for irregular schedules and overnight travel
