Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for local/regional routes in the Jersey City metro area
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques and equipment
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, manifests, and compliance documentation
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, safety protocols, and delivery schedules
- Build strong client relationships through professional communication
- Collaborate with dispatch team for route optimization and problem resolution
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening (company-provided)
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and basic navigation tech
- Strong knowledge of NJ/NYC traffic patterns and delivery regulations
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Excellent time management and customer service skills
- Immediate availability for full-time schedule
