Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks for local and regional deliveries within a 200-mile radius of Pittsburgh
- Manage loading/unloading operations with precision and efficiency
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each shipment
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and ensure compliance with DOT regulations
- Optimize routes to meet delivery deadlines while prioritizing safety
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Track and manage fuel expenses using provided fuel card system
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of box truck driving experience
- DOT medical certification and required licensing documents
- Reliable late-model box truck (24-26 ft) with proper insurance
- Proficiency in using GPS navigation and basic logistics software
- Strong time management and customer service skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly during loading/unloading
- Must pass background check and drug screening
