Responsibilities
- Safely operate 11-26ft box trucks to deliver freight within the Columbus metro area and regional routes.
- Load and secure cargo using proper straps, chains, and dunnage to ensure safe transport.
- Complete and submit all necessary paperwork, including Bill of Lading (BOL), PODs, and inspection reports.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain compliance and vehicle condition.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding pick-up and delivery windows.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the truck cab and cargo area.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) depending on vehicle size.
- Must own a reliable box truck (11-26ft) with valid registration and insurance.
- Current DOT medical card and a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations.
- Ability to lift and move freight weighing up to 100 lbs unassisted.
- Strong time management skills and proficiency with GPS navigation systems.
- Self-motivated with a commitment to safety and customer service excellence.
