Responsibilities
- Transport goods safely and efficiently using a box truck (24-26ft) within Philadelphia metro area
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each shipment
- Manage route optimization to meet tight delivery windows and fuel efficiency targets
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and ensure vehicle maintenance compliance
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Handle cargo loading/unloading with proper equipment and safety protocols
- Adhere to DOT regulations and local traffic laws at all times
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years box truck or straight truck experience
- Proof of commercial insurance ($1M liability coverage)
- Reliable 24-26ft box truck (2005+ model preferred)
- Smartphone with GPS and data connectivity for dispatch apps
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly during loading/unloading
- Pass background check and drug screening (mandatory)
- Strong time management and customer service skills
