Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks for local/regional deliveries within PA/NJ/DE
- Load/unload freight using standard pallet jacks and hand trucks
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and delivery documentation
- Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and basic maintenance
- Optimize routes for on-time delivery while adhering to DOT regulations
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Ensure proper freight securing and temperature control when required
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with air brake endorsement
- Minimum 2 years box truck driving experience
- Clean MVR (no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years)
- Own DOT-compliant box truck (26ft max, under 26,000 GVWR)
- Proof of commercial auto insurance ($1M liability minimum)
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor roadside repairs
- Strong Philadelphia area route familiarity
