Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport packages to residential and commercial addresses throughout the Milwaukee metro area.
- Inspect delivery vehicle daily to ensure cleanliness and proper mechanical functioning before starting shifts.
- Interact professionally with customers, ensuring packages are delivered with care and obtaining necessary signatures.
- Utilize handheld mobile devices and GPS software to update delivery status in real-time.
- Load and unload cargo, including handling heavy items weighing up to 70 lbs with proper lifting techniques.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies at all times.
- Report any vehicle damage, accidents, or lost packages immediately to the dispatch center.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record (no DUIs within the last 3 years).
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting packages repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Basic smartphone proficiency for using navigation and delivery apps.
- Reliable personal transportation to and from the local distribution center.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
