Responsibilities
- Safe & Efficient Delivery: Transport packages and documents to designated addresses in Chicago and surrounding areas in a timely manner.
- Customer Interaction: Provide professional, friendly service to customers, including proper handling of packages and receipt signatures.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and cleanliness.
- Route Navigation: Utilize GPS technology to follow the most efficient routes while adhering to traffic laws.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, receipts, and mileage.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License: Must possess a current, valid driver's license (Class C).
- Clean Driving Record: No more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years.
- Reliable Vehicle: Must have access to a reliable, insured vehicle suitable for courier work (sedan or cargo van).
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years old.
- Local Knowledge: Strong knowledge of the Chicago, IL area is preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift packages up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
