Responsibilities
- Safe Delivery: Transport packages to residential and commercial locations efficiently and safely, ensuring they arrive in perfect condition.
- Customer Interaction: Provide professional and courteous service to every client, handling packages with care.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is clean and operational.
- Route Management: Utilize GPS and route planning tools to navigate Detroit’s streets and traffic patterns effectively.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of deliveries and report any incidents or damages immediately.
- Compliance: Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies at all times.
Qualifications
- License: Valid Driver’s License (Class B preferred) and a clean driving record.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with customers.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Vehicle: Reliable access to a personal vehicle or willingness to use a company-provided van.
- Technology: Basic proficiency with smartphones and GPS navigation apps.
- Experience: Previous experience in delivery, courier, or logistics is a plus but not mandatory.
