Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and extracurricular activities
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain strict adherence to traffic laws and safety protocols
- Communicate professionally with parents, staff, and dispatch
- Manage student behavior with positive reinforcement techniques
- Complete accurate route documentation and incident reports
- Participate in mandatory safety training and drills
Qualifications
- Valid Oregon Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with School Bus endorsement
- Minimum 2 years professional driving experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Pass federal background check and DOT physical
- Child CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate wheelchair lifts
- Fluency in English; bilingual Spanish skills preferred
