Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes following strict safety protocols
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety
- Manage student behavior with professionalism and implement district discipline policies
- Maintain accurate attendance records and communication with parents/guardians
- Adapt routes during weather emergencies or special events
- Complete all required documentation and reporting duties
- Participate in ongoing safety training and professional development
Qualifications
- Valid Wisconsin Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with School Bus endorsement
- Minimum 2 years professional driving experience
- Pass background check and drug screening requirements
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work early morning and afternoon hours
- Strong knowledge of Milwaukee-area roadways
