Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from schools and extracurricular activities
- Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections and maintain accurate maintenance logs
- Enforce safety protocols and manage student conduct during transit
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adhere to strict schedules and route planning requirements
- Complete mandatory safety training and certification programs
- Maintain clean and orderly bus interiors
Qualifications
- Valid Kentucky Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B with School Bus Endorsement
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Pass background check and DOT physical examination
- Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
