Responsibilities
- Safely Transport Students: Drive students to and from school and school activities in a safe, timely, and courteous manner.
- Student Supervision: Monitor student behavior and ensure the safety and well-being of children during the bus ride.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is in safe operating condition.
- Route Adherence: Follow assigned routes and schedules accurately, maintaining strict adherence to traffic laws.
- Communication: Interact professionally with parents, school administrators, and other staff members.
- Emergency Procedures: Assist students in emergency situations and adhere to all safety protocols.
Qualifications
- CDL Required: Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger and School Bus endorsements.
- Clean Record: A clean driving record and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Availability: Ability to work early morning or afternoon shifts, including occasional weekends or holidays.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Soft Skills: Patience, strong customer service skills, and a commitment to student safety.
