As a vital part of our community's educational infrastructure, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and timely transportation of students to and from school. We pride ourselves on maintaining a professional and safe environment for both our drivers and the students we serve.
Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from school and school-related activities on time and in a safe manner.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Maintain a clean and orderly bus environment, enforcing safety rules and managing student behavior.
- Follow all traffic laws, school district policies, and transportation safety regulations strictly.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, parents, and school administrators regarding schedules and issues.
- Assist students in boarding and exiting the bus safely, particularly those with special needs if applicable.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Class B and Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and physical examination.
- Excellent driving record with no major moving violations within the last three years.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with children and parents.
- Must possess the physical stamina to lift, push, and pull equipment and assist passengers.
