Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes following strict schedules
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintenance reporting
- Implement student management protocols ensuring safety and order
- Adhere to all DOT/FMCSA regulations and district policies
- Provide exceptional customer service to parents and school staff
- Manage emergency procedures and student medical situations
- Maintain accurate trip logs and incident documentation
Qualifications
- Valid Texas CDL with School Bus (S) and Passenger (P) endorsements
- Minimum 21 years of age with clean MVR (no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years)
- Pass DOT physical, background check, and drug screening
- Ability to obtain First Aid/CPR certification
- Strong communication skills and crisis management abilities
- Experience working with children preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
