Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes while adhering to strict safety protocols
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain accurate maintenance logs
- Supervise student boarding, exiting, and behavior during transit
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Implement emergency procedures and manage student safety protocols
- Complete daily route documentation and incident reporting
- Maintain clean and organized bus interior at all times
Qualifications
- Valid Louisiana Commercial Driver's License (Class B with P/S endorsement)
- Minimum 3 years professional driving experience
- Clean MVR (no moving violations in past 3 years)
- Pass federal background check and DOT physical examination
- Child CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work early morning/afternoon shifts
- High school diploma or equivalent required
