Responsibilities
- Safely transport K-12 students on designated routes following strict safety protocols
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Manage student behavior with positive reinforcement and conflict resolution
- Adapt routes for field trips, athletic events, and special programs
- Complete accurate incident reports and maintain communication with dispatch
- Participate in quarterly safety drills and training updates
Qualifications
- Valid New Mexico driver's license with clean record (3+ years)
- Pass background check, drug screening, and physical examination
- Ability to obtain CDL Class B with School Bus endorsement (training provided)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse age groups
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate wheelchair lifts as needed
- Fluency in English and Spanish preferred
