Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and extracurricular activities
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain accurate student attendance and incident reports
- Enforce bus safety protocols and student conduct policies
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and district transportation guidelines
- Coordinate field trip transportation logistics
Qualifications
- Valid California Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Passenger and air brake endorsements
- Clean DMV record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Pass Department of Transportation physical exam
- Background clearance and fingerprinting
- Minimum 2 years professional driving experience
- Child CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate wheelchair lifts
