Responsibilities
- Safely transport K-12 students to/from school and extracurricular events
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain accurate logs
- Implement strict safety protocols for student loading/unloading
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Manage student behavior with positive reinforcement techniques
- Adapt routes for weather conditions and traffic patterns
- Participate in ongoing safety training and certification programs
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger/School Bus endorsements
- Minimum 2 years professional driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Texas School Bus Driver Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Excellent driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Strong interpersonal skills and child safety awareness
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Flexibility for early morning/afternoon shifts
