Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes, adhering strictly to traffic laws and safety protocols
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure vehicle maintenance meets district standards
- Supervise student boarding, exiting, and behavior during transport
- Implement emergency procedures and student safety drills
- Maintain accurate attendance records and route documentation
- Communicate professionally with parents, school staff, and transportation coordinators
Qualifications
- Valid Florida Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements
- Minimum 3 years professional driving experience with clean MVR
- Pass background check, drug screening, and DOT physical
- Child First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Fluent English communication skills
