Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes following strict safety protocols
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure vehicle maintenance compliance
- Manage student behavior with professionalism and care during transit
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Maintain accurate attendance and route documentation
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local transportation regulations
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and ensure student safety
Qualifications
- Valid California Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with passenger endorsement
- Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience
- Pass background check, drug screening, and physical examination
- First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work early morning and afternoon shifts
- Strong commitment to student safety and punctuality
- Knowledge of Stockton area streets and traffic patterns
