Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, organs, blood products, and pharmaceuticals using temperature-controlled vehicles
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance protocols for all sensitive medical materials
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS technology to meet critical time windows
- Complete detailed documentation and chain-of-custody forms for each shipment
- Perform vehicle safety inspections and maintenance checks daily
- Provide exceptional customer service to hospital staff and laboratory personnel
- Coordinate with dispatch team to resolve delivery challenges in real-time
Qualifications
- Valid California Class C driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years medical courier or healthcare logistics experience
- Certification in biohazardous material handling (preferred)
- Proficient with GPS navigation and mobile tracking systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout shift
- Exceptional time management and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail with zero-tolerance for shipment errors
- Pass background check and drug screening
