Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, organs, and time-sensitive materials across Newark healthcare facilities
- Maintain precise temperature control for temperature-sensitive shipments using specialized equipment
- Document all deliveries with digital tracking systems and maintain HIPAA-compliant records
- Optimize delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals and minimize transit time
- Perform vehicle inspections and basic maintenance to ensure operational readiness
- Communicate professionally with medical staff and resolve delivery issues promptly
- Adhere to OSHA and DOT regulations for hazardous materials transport
Qualifications
- Valid Class C driver's license with clean driving record (3+ years)
- Previous medical courier or healthcare logistics experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of Newark geography and surrounding areas
- Certification in bloodborne pathogens and hazardous materials handling
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate temperature-controlled equipment
- Exceptional time management and problem-solving skills
- Background check and drug screening clearance required
