Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, pharmaceuticals, and equipment between hospitals, labs, and clinics
- Maintain strict chain-of-custody protocols and HIPAA compliance during all transports
- Utilize GPS navigation technology for efficient route planning and timely deliveries
- Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and maintain meticulous delivery documentation
- Coordinate with medical staff for critical time-sensitive pickups and deliveries
- Operate specialized medical transport equipment (temperature-controlled containers, biohazard bags)
- Respond to urgent delivery requests with flexibility and professionalism
Qualifications
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of professional driving or logistics experience
- OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
