Responsibilities
- Load and unload packages safely and efficiently using dollies, pallet jacks, or hand trucks.
- Deliver items to residential and commercial addresses along designated routes in the Chicago area.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and maintain a clean driving record to ensure passenger and cargo safety.
- Provide excellent customer service by confirming delivery details and maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks (tires, fluid levels, cleanliness).
- Utilize mobile applications to track delivery status and update customers in real-time.
- Handle package handling with care to prevent damage during transit.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Driver's License required.
- Minimum of 1 year of driving experience (commercial or personal) preferred.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Strong navigation skills and familiarity with the Chicago metro area.
- Physically capable of lifting, pushing, and carrying packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Must have a reliable smartphone with data access for route tracking.
