Responsibilities
- Safely transport freight across Boston metro area and Northeast corridor using advanced GPS tracking systems
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD) compliance
- Coordinate with dispatch team for real-time route optimization and delivery scheduling
- Handle specialized freight including temperature-controlled and hazardous materials with proper certification
- Represent Global Logistics Solutions with professional conduct and exceptional customer service
- Utilize advanced telematics systems for performance monitoring and continuous improvement
- Maintain clean driving record and adhere to all FMCSA regulations and company policies
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 3 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience with hazmat endorsement preferred
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and operate loading/unloading equipment safely
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and transportation management systems
- Strong knowledge of Boston metro traffic patterns and Northeast corridor routes
- Excellent time management and communication skills for high-volume delivery schedules
- Ability to pass DOT physical and pre-employment background/drug screening
- Flexibility for overnight routes and weekend shifts as required
