Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight across Alaska's challenging terrain
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT compliance logs
- Plan efficient routes while adapting to Alaska's unique weather and road conditions
- Coordinate with dispatch teams to ensure on-time deliveries and exceptional customer service
- Maintain clean driving record and adhere to all federal/state transportation regulations
- Secure and document cargo using industry-standard loading/unloading procedures
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Hazmat endorsement preferred
- Minimum 3 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in the past 5 years
- Ability to pass rigorous background check and drug screening
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation systems
- Experience with oversized/overspecialized freight handling
- Physical ability to handle loading/unloading in extreme weather conditions
