Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks and related heavy equipment on local routes
- Conduct pre-trip/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate logs
- Load/unload materials at construction sites, landfills, and distribution centers
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Coordinate with dispatchers and site supervisors for timely deliveries
- Perform basic equipment maintenance and report issues promptly
- Assist in training new drivers on company standards and routes
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Current DOT medical certification
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in outdoor conditions
- Familiarity with Virginia Beach metro area roadways
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Strong communication and time-management skills
- Experience with dump truck operations preferred
