Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy-duty dump trucks and flatbeds on various job sites throughout the Corpus Christi area.
- Load and unload materials efficiently using forklifts and manual labor, ensuring weight distribution is balanced.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation, including electronic logging devices (ELD) and delivery receipts.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, crew members, and clients to ensure timely project completion.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies at all times.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on the vehicle and report any mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A License required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience driving dump trucks or heavy commercial vehicles.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and drug screening.
- Physically fit to handle loading/unloading duties and operate heavy machinery.
- Strong knowledge of load securement techniques and DOT regulations.
- Reliable transportation to and from the job site.
