Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks to transport construction materials and debris to job sites
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure vehicle maintenance compliance
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation systems to minimize delivery times
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for all hauls
- Collaborate with site supervisors to coordinate material unloading procedures
- Participate in weekly safety briefings and training sessions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of dump truck operation experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficiency in GPS navigation and electronic logging systems
- Strong knowledge of local Durham-area construction routes
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
