Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks and heavy equipment at construction sites, quarries, and landfills
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and preventive maintenance checks
- Load/unload materials using proper safety protocols and equipment
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork for all transport activities
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety standards
- Collaborate with dispatch team to optimize routes and delivery schedules
- Communicate effectively with clients and site supervisors
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 3 years commercial dump truck experience
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Bakersfield/Kern County geography and industrial zones
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and load securement procedures
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and flexible schedules
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
