Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles on assigned local and regional routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently while adhering to safety protocols and weight limits.
- Maintain accurate records using electronic logging devices (ELD) and daily logs.
- Adhere strictly to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients and ensure cargo is delivered in perfect condition.
- Report mechanical issues or accidents immediately to management.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card) on file.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to lift, carry, and handle freight weighing up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with dispatch and clients.
- Willingness to undergo a drug screen and background check.
